time?
We do not place a limit on the number of items a child can check
out at one time but prefer to have parents make that decision based
on their child's needs.

Most children get a Library card at age three, but parents can
apply for a card for their child at any time.

Why is the Kaukauna Public Library sometimes referred to
as a Carnegie library?
During the late 1800's and early 1900's, Andrew Carnegie donated
over $40 million to communities to build libraries. The Library
Board requested money to build a library, and after many hurdles,
did receive a grant to build a library.
The architecture of Carniege libraries is easily recognized.
One hundred years later, Kaukauna is one of the few functioning
Carnegie libraries left in the State.
Why must I have my library card to check out or use the
Public Internet stations?
Wisconsin State Statute 43 says we must protect patron privacy and
we must protect the integrity of our library collection. In order
to do this, we need your library card each time you use the
library.
