The Elections for 2012 are as follows:  Recall Primary - May 8, 2012, Recall Election - June 5, 2012, August 14, 2012, Partisan Primary, and November 6, 2012, Presidential Election.

Recall Election

The polling place for the Recall Election on June 5, 2012, is the Community Room, Municipal Services Building, 201 W. Second Street, Kaukauna.

Board of Review

The Board of Review for the City of Kaukauna will meet to hear complaints and to review the 2012 assessment roll on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 9:00 A.M. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Services Building, 201 W. Second Street, Kaukauna, Wisconsin.

Open Book

The 2012 Assessment Roll for the City of Kaukauna has been completed and the books will be open for inspection at City Hall, Municipal Services Building, 201 W. Second Street, Kaukauna, in the Council Chambers on Monday, May 14, 2012, from 10:00 A.M. to Noon and 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.

Property Taxes

The first installment or full payment of your 2011 real estate taxes and personal property taxes are due by January 31, 2012. Payment can be mailed or paid in person at the City of Kaukauna Clerk/Treasurer's Office, 201 W. Second Street, P.O. Box 890, Kaukauna, WI 54130. An alternate site for paying taxes for City of Kaukauna taxpayers is Unison Credit Union - either their south side or north side office.

Council Meetings

The City Council of the City of Kaukauna meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 7:00 p.m.

Licenses

Numerous licenses are available at the Clerk/Treasurer's Office.

Dog Licenses

City Ordinance requires all dogs in the City over five months of age to be rabies-vaccinated and licensed. The rabies certificate from a licensed veterinarian must be shown at the time the license is purchased. The license is valid from January 1, 2012, through December 31, 2012. If you no longer own a dog, please contact this office at 766-6300.
